Tri Services Adventure Expedition was flagged off from Sapper

The Army phase of Indian Armed Forces Tri Services Adventure Expedition was flagged off today from Sapper in Dirang Arunachal Pradesh. Organised by Blazing Sword Division of Gajraj Corps, the ceremony was attended by senior civil Administration and military officials.

While highlighting the importance of sports and adventure activities in military life Maj Gen PN Anathanarayan, GOC Blazing Sword Division extended his best wishes to the expedition team and exhorted them to spread the message of goodwill and promote national integration.The Tri services Expedition will reinforce the spirit of jointness and further strengthen the essence of camaraderie amongst the three services of Indian Military.

The Army Phase of the expedition includes a 85 Km trek from Sapper ( Dirang ) to Buragaon in West Kameng district followed by 103 Km of cycling leg from Buragaon along NH 229 culminating with the flagging in at Tezpur, Assam.

In the course of the expedition the team will conduct medical camps, visit schools and interact with the students, local youth and Villagers to promote national integration and increase awareness of Indian Armed Forces,

Immediately following is the Air Force leg from 22 September to 26 Sep 2017 at Bagdogra. Parasailing , Power Hand  Gliding and Rapelling will be the the major attractions of this leg. The expedition will culminate on completion of the Naval leg at Vishakhapatnam  from 27 September to 06 October 15, which includes Sea Diving and sailing under aegis of Eastern Naval command.
