More than a week after the Indian Air force’s AN-32 aircraft with 13 people on board went missing near the China border in Arunachal Pradesh, The IAF AN-32 Aircraft wreckage has been located today. the First picture of the missing aircraft are here .

Mountaineering teams of IAF, Army and Civil are being formed now . They will be inducted tommorow by means of helicopters , to look for survivors and other things. No exercise is taking place now to reach the crash site by road.

 


The wreckage of the Indian Air Force’s missing AN-32 transport aircraft has been found in Arunachal Pradesh’s Siang district. The aircraft had 13 persons on board.

The wreckage of the missing AN32 was spotted today 16 Kms North of Lipo, North East of Tato at an approximate elevation of 12000 ft by the IAF Mi-17 Helicopter undertaking search in the expanded search zone. Efforts are now continuing to establish the status of occupants and establish survivors.

An An-32 of the Indian Air Force went missing on 03 Jun 2019 after getting airborne from Air Force Station, Jorhat Assam. The wreckage of the aircraft was spotted today 16 Kms North of Lipo, North East of Tato at an approximate elevation of 12000 ft by the IAF Mi-17 Helicopter undertaking search in the expanded search zone.

Efforts are now continuing to establish the status of occupants and establish survivors. Further details will be communicated as the recovery actions progress.

When IAF AN-32 go missing?

The aircraft carrying six officers, five airmen and two non-combatants (enrolled) took off from Jorhat in Assam at 12.27 pm on June 3 for the Mechuka Advance Landing Ground in Arunachal Pradesh, where it was supposed to reach at 1.30 pm. The weather over the region was turbulent on the day and the aircraft’s last contact with ground agencies was at around 1.00 pm.
