The Border Security Force ( BSF )organised a free medical camp in a remote area in East Khasi Hills Dist at Border Area on 29th Dec’2017.
The border guards living to its expectation of winning the hearts of the local populace by organizing such public outreach programmes to provide assistance to the people in remote areas near International Boundary .
A free medical camp and health checkup programme was organized to facilitate medical aid to dwelling people of village Kishan Bastiin, District East Khasi Hills. Approx six hundred forty six patients including children, women visited the camp from inaccessible areas. Needy people were examined by BSF medical officers and provided with free medicines.
The general population of the area were happy and thankful to BSF Medical team, lead by Dr. Pawel Hazra, AC / MO, and Dr. Harkhanlal Khom, AC/MO of 19 Bn BSF for extending the free medical services at their door steps.
It is worth mentioning that BSF has recently organized a series of such medical camps at bordering areas to help needy persons who can’t access Shillong frequently.
The head man of the village also expressed special thanks and gratitude to the BSF for such omen work and requested to made it on regular intervals.
