Masimpur: BSF organises Diwali Mela

On the eve of ‘Deepawali’ festival, a customary Mela was organised in BSF Campus Masimpur (Kalibari) on 18th  October 2017  which was inaugurated by Mr N S Jamwal, Inspector General, BSF Mizoram & Cachar Frontier and Mrs  Anjali Jamwal, President BSF Wives Welfare Association  of M&C Frontier amidst the gathering of BSF troops and their families including civilians of  Masimpur.

Variety of food, sweets and games stalls were attraction of the Mela.  Cultural programmes, dance items for children and games etc were also organized. Attractive prizes were distributed to the winners of games besides the prizes for best and the second best stalls by the Chief Guest.

The BSF Brass and Jazz Band enthralled the crowd with their foot tapping music and soulful classical renditions that charge the air all through the programme. The whole atmosphere was filled with rejoice and cheerfulness.

The Mela eventually culminated with the best wishes extended  by the Inspector General  to troops and their families  besides civil gathering  and  wished  happiness and prosperity  for their future endeavour.  He also conveyed his special “Deepawali” wishes to those BSF Jawans  who are performing their duties diligently round the clock on the farthest Frontiers of the International Border.
