Eastern Army Commander Visited Forward Ares in Arunachal Pradesh and Assam

Lieutenant General MM Naravane, , General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Command visited forward areas of in Arunachal Pradesh  and Assam as part of his three day visit to Spearhead Division and Gajraj Corps from 16 May to 18 May 2019.

During the visit, he reviewed the security situation and operational preparedness along the LAC. Over the years, the area has witnessed improvement in infrastructure and he emphasised on developing requisite capacities with special emphasis on operational preparedness.

The Army Commander was briefed by Commanders on the prevailing security situation along the LAC.

The Army Commander also visited few formations in Assam and also interacted with the GOC Gajraj Corps on 18 May 2019.

During his interaction with troops, he appreciated their hard work and dedication to safeguard the nation’s borders while facing the challenges of hostile terrain and adverse weather condition.

Lieutenant General MM Naravane, visited Misa Camp in Assam and was briefed in detail on the Op-preparedness of the formation. During the visit, he interacted with the troops and appreciated all ranks for their hard work and dedication and complimented them for a very well maintained military station.

The Army Commander felicitated the meritorious Officers, Junior Commissioned Officer and Other Ranks by awarding commendation cards and called for all ranks to keep up the good work.

Army Cdr was also had an interaction with GOC 4 Corps Lt Gen Manoj Pande, at Tezpur wherein he was briefed on prevailing security situation and the operational preparedness of the Corps.
