Process is on to put in place a support structure for e-Prastuti covering all the departments in Hailakandi district.
A meeting was held at Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall here today in which a slew of steps were initiated to start the process of putting in place the mechanism to deliver information as a service to the citizens.
It was decided in the meeting that all the departments would appoint a content manager, master trainer and administrator for the website.
An initiative of the state government, e-Prastuti was launched by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on September 20 last year, to standardise the government websites by making it people-friendly. It aims at bringing good governance through digital way to the end-users, that is the public. “It will synergise interface between the government and the people by making available information related to government schemes just at the click of the mouse,” said District Transport Officer, Nripen Kalita.
The meeting was attended, among others, by District Development Commissioner, FR Laskar, Additional Deputy Commissioner, EL Faihriem and district heads of different departments. Nodal Officer of e-Prastuti is SDO (Sadar), Pradip Timung.
