Assam: Post Office Passport Sewa Kendra inaugurated in Dibrugarh

The Dibrugarh MP Rameswar Teli today inaugurated  Post Office Passport Sewa Kendras (POPSK) in Dibrugarh in presence of MLA Prashanta Phukan, Rituparna Baruah and Regional Passport officer Lobsang Tsering. The POPSK has been established in the Graham Bazar Post office complex (near circuit house).

It must be mention here that the Ministry of External Affairs and Department of Posts have decided to utilize various post offices of the country as Post Office Passport Sewa Kendras (POPSK) to render Passport related services to the citizens.

In Dibrugarh 50 appointments will be given daily. Only normal passport can be applied in the Dibrugarh centre. Tatkal and Diplomatic applicants have to apply in Guwahati office. said Lobsang Tsering, Regional Passport officer.

Another POPSK will be inaugurated very soon in Tinsukia Head Post office.

Though the date for Tinsukia was finalized for tomorrow, it may be rescheduled after discussion with the Regional Passport officer – said MP Teli.
