In line with NITI Aayog’s stress on pacing up development by involving the Public and the Private sectors, memorandum of understanding (MoU)  worth Rs 40 lakhs was signed between the Bongaigaon district administration and the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL)  on Thursday.

Bongaigaon DC Adil Khan and Indian Oil’s Assam Oil Division Manager (Law) Kamal Kumar Goswami signed the MoU on behalf of the administration and the IOCL  respectively in the presence of Phani Bhusan Choudhury, Minister Food & Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs.

The estimated cost of the projects is Rs 40(Forty) lakhs out of which Rs 19 lakhs is allotted for Toilet Blocks and Rs 21 lakhs for dining hall. As per the MoU the District administration shall be solely responsible for executing the project and related activities while the IOCLs role shall be limited to providing financial assistance only.
