Assam: Army organises Medical and Blood Donation camp at Daranga Mela

Red Horns Division of Indian Army organised Medical and Blood donation camp at Daranga Mela under operation Sadbhavna.

Red Horns Division conducted a medical and Blood donation camp at Sukhanjuli village in Baksa district, Assam on 01 and 02 Dec 2018 under Operation Sadbhavna.  The Medical Camp provided basic health checkup, medical advice and medicines to residents of villages in Baksa district.

The medical team comprised of two doctors from the Red Horns Division and specialist doctors (Eye, ENT, General Medicine and Skin) from SMK civil Hospital, Nalbari.

A blood donation camp was conducted on 01 Dec 2018 along with the medical camp which was heavily subscribed to by the army, Para military forces and civilians.

A team from Blood Bank, Nalbari collected the donated blood which was deposited at Blood Bank,Nalbari for future use.

The conduct of medical and blood donation camp has greatly benefited villagers of remote areas and has led to overall improvement in health of villagers by bringing basic medical facilities at their doorsteps.

The efforts were appreciated by the locals and civil dignitaries who attended the camp.
