Army organises educational tour for BTAD students

In a colorful ceremony, the Red Horns Divison under aegis of Gajraj Corps flagged off an Educational Tour of students hailing from remote districts of Chirang and Bongaigaon District of BTAD  in Assam. The tour was flagged off by Maj Gen PS Behl, General –Officer-Commanding, Red Horns Division.

 The tour, scheduled from 24 September 2017 to 08 October 17, will be visiting Delhi and Rajasthan during the course of the next two weeks.

 The tour comprises of 20 students and two teachers, all belonging to the entire spectrum of ethnicity in Assam. The tour’s multifaceted aims include providing encouragement to students, introducing them to the heritage of our country, increasing awareness about educational & professional avenues and build bridge between communities.

The tour shall visit places of historic, military, academic and professional interests including Red Fort ,Qutub Minar, Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal, City Palace  to name a  few.

The participants shall also get an opportunity to interact with distinguished personalities including  “President of India” and Chief of the Army Staff. The tour shall be flagged in at Bongaigaon on 08 Oct 17.

The students were presented Sweat shirts, Caps  & other memorabilia and given a warm farewell by The GOC, Red Horns Division in the flag off ceremony which was attended by parents of the participants and a number of esteemed guests and dignitaries.
